One of America’s most dynamic port cities, Norfolk, Virginia sits within the southeastern region of the Hampton Roads metropolitan area. Easily accessible by I-64, this city has deep ties to the military and is home to the Nauticus Maritime Museum and the Naval Base. Norfolk has all the makings of a great city and it is an excellent place for vacationers. Travelers can fly directly into Norfolk International Airport.

From intriguing museums to natural scenery that delights the senses, the city is brimming with things to see and do. Visit the Chrysler Museum and explore the glass art collection or check out the Battleship Wisconsin at Nauticus. Visit the Virginia Zoo or the Botanical Garden to explore a wide variety of flora and fauna. In the summer, spend the day at Ocean View Beach to soak up the sun while looking out over the Chesapeake.

One of the best places to shop is the MacArthur Center in downtown. All of your favorite major retailers, along with several local shops and vendors, can be found here. Dining options are available in the food court, making MacArthur Center the perfect place to spend the day. You will also find the outlets located off Route 13 near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel.

This Hampton Roads city is teeming with places to eat. Whether you want to grab something quick from a fast-food chain or enjoy a nice meal at one of the city’s local restaurants, you will be able to satisfy your cravings here. If you are downtown, you don’t want to miss your chance to eat at the Grilled Cheese Bistro.
